Common questions
How recent are your strains?
Each production lot starts from a clinical isolate collected within about the past 12 months, and new lots are planned as circulating strains change.
What comes with each lot?
Every lot ships with a digital Certificate of Analysis covering whole-genome sequencing, copy number by droplet digital PCR (ddPCR), infectious titer by TCID50, inactivation verification where applicable, contamination screening, and passage and lot history.
What is the intended use?
All Axenica products are for Research Use Only. They are not for use in diagnostic procedures.
How are vials shipped?
Vials ship frozen in an insulated shipper with dry ice. Storage conditions are printed on each vial label and Certificate of Analysis.
Can you produce a specific strain for us?
Yes. Our custom propagation and characterization programs cover strains outside the catalog. Contact us to discuss your project.
Can our lab supply isolates?
Yes. Public health laboratories and diagnostic developers can join our Clinical Isolate Partnership Network and earn a royalty on vials made from their isolates. Learn about the partner network.
